Enbridge CEO announces $3.3 billion in O&G investments for 2023

Newly appointed Enbridge CEO Greg Ebel announced $3.3 billion in new oil and gas projects for 2023 at his “first investor day conference,” according to the Financial Post

Ebel stated that $2.4 billion is earmarked for gas transmission modernization in response to supply problems in 2022 that “were extremely volatile and exposed critical vulnerabilities in the globally integrated energy system.” He elaborated further “Preventing these crises from occurring again will require governments and markets to take a balanced approach to energy reliability, sustainability, and affordability.”

Specific projects include a heavy oil terminal in Houston that will expand capacity by 2.5 million barrels and a natural gas pipeline to ArcelorMittal Dofasco to replace coking coal and reduce emissions by 60 percent.

RDI manufactures, fabricates, and customizes all major flow-control equipment for heavy oil and natural gas infrastructure projects.
